How do you get the chicago typewriter for resident evil 4?

On the Wii, I have finished and saved the separate ways mission. When I go to the saved cleared game, it takes me to separate ways again. I want to play the main game with the chicago typewriter. How do I access this? I started a new game and the chicago typewriter was not available at the merchant.

I hope you didn’t save your Separate Ways game over your original Cleared Game for the main game.
In order to use the CT (or any of the other weapons you don’t have access to in the first playthrough of the main game), you have to load a Cleared Game slot of the main game.

1) Complete Assignment Ada and SAVE
2) You must have completed easy or normal mode.
3)You will need 1 million pesetas to buy it from the merchant.
Just save over your normal game, and start it again.. this way you can carry over all your money and sell your weapons.
