What Chicago suburbs get their drinking water from the City of Chicago?

My son wants to do his science fair project on different municipalities and their quality of water. We are trying to get information about the water supply and distribution system for northeast Illinois. I’ve read that over 100 suburbs get their water from the Chicago system, but I can’t find a list or a map (there may be homeland security concerns with posting this information on-line). Do you know where this information is on-line (we are interested in and working on off-line sources as well)?

Add Long Grove and Hawthorn Woods to your list. The list of suburbs includes most all of Cook County, and the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency in Lake County.
If you count Indiana, several more suburbs could be added.
