Can I easily get a job faster in California than I do Chicago? Are taxes in California less than Illinois?

I really want to get a job in California and I want to know would I get hired faster there than I would in Chicago say if I apply for jobs in California in the fall? The answer to this question largely depends on the industry you want to work in and the position you are seeking. Without that information it’s difficult to say how hard or easy it would be for you to find the job you are looking for.

Depends on you! As for taxes, they’re MUCH higher in California.

your best bet is to contact the local chamber of commerences in the areas you are thinking of and they can help you get all the info you would need…..they have a ton of resources..the other thing would be to do a search for a realtor in the area your thinking of and they will be a great resource in letting you know tax prices and what business and schools are around…

I guess that would depend on your profession. If you are looking for work in a popular field, you may have stiff competition. The cost of living is higher, I don’t know about taxes, but a one bedroom apt. goes for $700.00 a month.
