I’m getting ready to move to Chicago and I’m doing my research. I know the red and blue lines are 24/7 but what times to the other trains start and stop. Also, what about the buses?

Times vary for transit systems in Chicago…Some run all day and all night some stop running at midnight…You can call Travel information at 1-(312) 836-7000 or Customer Service at 1-888-Your-Cta or visit website
for more information to your question.

Not only do the trains have different times but the stations sometimes have different times they’re open as well. For instance, the blue line to O’Hare runs pretty much all the time too, but certain stations are closed. And the same for the buses. Go to the first link below and click on the individual train lines. A new window will pop up and tell you what times the train is running. As for the bus schedules, you will need to determine the specific bus line you want and then check it’s schedule. Check the second link below.

Hi, I know the orange line starts at about 530 am and runs to about 1130pm.When you are in Chicago use the phone number 836-7000 (any area code) and they will tell you how and when to travel it’s very handy, good for buses and trains
