Where would you like to see the Chicago Cubs open the 2008 season?
September 24th, 2009 | by Michael |staggmovie asked:
For the past 2 baseball seasons, the Chicago Cubs have opened the season in Cincinnati, and it is hard to believe that the 2007 season is almost over. But where where would you like to see the Chicago Cubs open in 2008. And why would you like to see them open up there? If you say at Wrigley Field, who would you like to seem them play, and why?

It would be nice to see St. Louis at Chicago in Wrigley. The reason is because those are two of the best baseball cities in the entire league and it’s such a great rivalry. What a start to the season to see LaRussa and Pinella in the opening week of baseball.

Milwaukee so u can start out the rivalry right away. Only one of these teams is getting into the playoffs so the one that doesn’t will take it out on the one that does

I would like to see them tied for first place in the standings going into the first game of the season, but don’t think they’ll be able to pull it off

They will open the season against whoever they defeat in the 2007 World Series.

Well, considering how cold it is in April, I think they should open the season in Arizona. It only makes sense since they train in Arizona and they can work their way towards Chicago. Too bad they cant open in Wrigley Field in mid May.

I feel that the Cubs as well as other teams in the north that play outside should open the first week or so in the south or domed stadiums. This would let the weather mellow a little bit.

in washington, in the new stadium, as World Champs.
However not too likely, they have an even chance of winning the Series, but I believe because of the unbalanced scheduling (dont like it), they will likely be opening within the division.
