if you want prime seats you are going to have to get there EARLY. the gates open 2 hours prior to 1st pitch. your best bet is to get there an hour before that, if not earlier.
what we do is, get there, plant someone in line & the rest of us walk around. stop in at Murphys for an Old Style & Brat.

Right on the wall all the way around tends to fill up the fastest.
If you like a back rest go to the top of the left field bleachers.
I would also echo roadkills comment on getting there 3 hours before game time. Plant one person in line and then walk across the street and have a few. Switch positions after each round! It’s go time before you know it.

I bet that you want to get there early, from my understanding that out in the bleachers, it is gernal admission, where they are avaibale on a first come first serve basis. It is not like that you will be seating elsewhere in Wrigley Field, where there is a assigned seating. And you know that they will be your seats for the whole game. I am not sure if either left field, center field, or right field seats takes for one to fill up first, before the others. And I bet that you will want the best seats in the bleachers that you can possibly get, and you are going to want to have at least 1 person watching your seats at all times possible, because there could be good chances that if your whole party can lose your seats to somebody esle, and even if the one person who to stand behind, all of a cetain has to go to the bathroom.
